My story begins 5 years ago. I started to run with my son as he biked. I started with only being able to run ¼ of a mile largely because I was 200 lbs. One year later I had run two half marathons but I still weighed 190 lbs. I continued to run but still never lost any weight for four years. It wasn't until a great day in June when a friend invited me to a group workout with C. Smith when my life changed. I lost 30 lbs in 3 months and I have maintained the weight loss for 1 year. I am now working on stage 2 to lose my last 30lbs. I know with C. Smith I will be there. Thank you for changing my life.~Sandi Allen
Four years ago I had the worst doctor's appointment of my life. My doctor told me I was obese. She listed all the things that would potentially kill me because I was too fat, out of shape and only 26 years old. I decided to do something about it and set up a consultation with C. Smith. She was so warm and friendly. She listened as I explained how poorly I ate and how infrequently I exercised. She motivated me and worked patiently with me through back sliding and ice cream sundaes. She has helped me get a better understanding of my body and develop strength I never imagined. Because of her help last year I was able to complete not only a 5k race but also an half marathon. She provides a constant source of physical motivation and makes sure I never lose interest with varied routines and modifications. I don't always listen and follow the plans she has for me but I can say she has laid a foundation that has changed the course my body and life was on. Weighing in at 153 lbs, I began training with C. Smith in January of 2011. My upcoming wedding was my motivation for getting in shape, but C. I must admit, my impression of a "Boot Camp Workout" was an Instructor yelling and screaming at you in an attempt to motivate you. Instead, C. Smith was an understanding, caring human being.
